Impact of Camera Quality on Dataset Results

I have a question :
if I make a dataset with pictures with high quality (my phone or good camera) ,later on when i use the raspberry camera (i dont think it will be so perfect as phone) will it affect the input image? will that affect the result as my dataset is made with good camera?

  1. undefined2001#0000

    yes

  2. undefined2001#0000

I would suggest you to convert to the same resolution as your raspberry pi’s camera

  3. pieweii#0000

    alrights <33

  4. undefined2001#0000

it’s always better to keep trained data and input sample data as close as possible to get maximum accuracy

  5. pieweii#0000

ill see how to do that

  6. undefined2001#0000

to modify image there is python library called `pillow`

  7. pieweii#0000

    i m beginner in ai

  8. pieweii#0000

    modify it to what?

  9. undefined2001#0000

    to match the resolution

  10. pieweii#0000

aha so it i can use my camera its fine ?

  11. undefined2001#0000

you can capture photos with phone and modify them and then train them

  12. pieweii#0000

    alrights ill do that <33

  13. undefined2001#0000

    then you can use it

  14. undefined2001#0000

there will be trade off but not that much I think

  15. pieweii#0000

tho ill try to search not so much hight resolution camera like 12

  16. pieweii#0000

so it can be close to raspberry camera and use pillow

  17. undefined2001#0000

collecting image is also a bit painful task

  18. undefined2001#0000

I would recommend you to go with the native resolution if you don’t need very high accuracy

  19. pieweii#0000

    hmm alright ill do that..

  20. undefined2001#0000

for a good working model you need to have minimum 500 images

  21. pieweii#0000

    i need at least 3 days ..

  22. undefined2001#0000

also @wafa_ath is working with images she will be better help than me

  23. undefined2001#0000

depending on what you have to capture

  24. pieweii#0000

    you guys are smart fr

  25. pieweii#0000

im feeling less depressed after i found this server

  26. undefined2001#0000

    good to hear

  27. undefined2001#0000

    keep trying

  28. undefined2001#0000

I would like to hear the update

  29. pieweii#0000

    yes ill keep you updated

  30. wafa_ath#0000

i sugest using the same device for collecting the data and for testing , i think you said you will rpi with camera , then use it for collecting the data

  31. pieweii#0000

    i use my raspberry cam?

  32. wafa_ath#0000

    yes

  33. pieweii#0000

oh ill do that for sure <33

  34. pieweii#0000

    @wafa_ath is 8MP cam good?

  35. wafa_ath#0000

i think yes it’s good it provide good resolution and quality, just consider the lighting in the place u are taking pic in and try to capture the feature you want

  36. pieweii#0000

    alrightt thankkk youuu <33
