STM32CubeIDE Code Generation Issue

Has anyone encountered an issue with STM32CubeIDE when generating code from an IOC file? I had a project built on one machine using the same version of CubeIDE. I thought I could simply open the project file, link the source files, and generate the code on another machine with the same CubeIDE version (updated manually). However, I discovered that code generation wasn’t working—no “Drivers” or “Middleware” folders were created or linked.

I updated all software and applied all available updates, but the issue persisted. Ultimately, I had to uninstall and reinstall STM32CubeIDE to resolve the problem. I’m curious about what configuration or settings might have caused this, as it ended up wasting hours of my time.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a fix for it?
